Hey there! I’m Mina.
My journey started in healthcare as a nurse specializing in anesthesia. I spent a year working in the operating room, where I experienced both beautiful and heartbreaking moments. I helped people through pain, witnessed unforgettable moments like a mother holding her newborn for the first time, and also saw how difficult illness can be for patients and their families.
Deep down, I knew I wanted to help people earlier, before they reached the hospital or the operating table. I started thinking more about prevention, lifestyle, and the everyday choices that can support our health. That’s what led me to nutrition.
So, I became a nutritionist. And honestly, it made perfect sense: I care deeply about health, and I absolutely love food. Nutrition felt like the perfect place where science, prevention, and delicious meals could meet.
I went back to university for a second bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and graduated at the top of my department. Later, I completed my master’s degree in Health Food Innovation Management at Maastricht University in the Netherlands, where I learned even more about food, nutrition, consumer choices, and how people decide what to eat.
This year, after I started teaching nutrition at university, I realized how much I enjoy making nutrition science easier to understand. It made me think: why not reach more people beyond the classroom?
That’s why I created Lemon Nutrition Academy: a place to learn the nutrition basics we all should have been taught, in a simple, practical, and evidence-based way.
Having lived in Iran, studied in Cyprus and the Netherlands, and now living in Germany, I’ve been lucky to experience different food cultures and cuisines. My goal is to help you navigate nutrition without confusion, guilt, or second-guessing, so you can make more informed choices in your everyday life while still enjoying food.
