A calmer place to learn about nutrition

Nutrition information is everywhere. One headline praises a food, another tells you to avoid it, and social media often makes everyday eating feel much more complicated than it needs to be.

Lemon Nutrition Academy helps you slow down, look beyond the hype, and understand what nutrition science actually means for everyday life.

Here, you can learn the foundations, explore common questions, and build the knowledge to make more informed food choices—without chasing perfection.

This space may be for you if…

  • Nutrition advice often leaves you unsure what to believe.
  • You want to understand food instead of memorising lists of rules.
  • You are curious about labels, nutrients, health claims, or food trends.
  • You want practical education that respects different cultures, preferences, and ways of eating.
  • You prefer a flexible, evidence-based approach without food fear or judgement.

You do not need a science background or a “perfect” diet. You only need curiosity and a place to begin.

Not sure where to begin?

Hi, I’m Mina

My path to nutrition began in healthcare, where I worked as an anesthesia nurse. That experience made me increasingly curious about prevention, everyday health, and the many factors that shape how people eat.

I returned to university to study Nutrition and Dietetics and later completed an MSc in Health Food Innovation Management at Maastricht University. My work has also included university teaching, food innovation, consumer behaviour, product trends, and food law.

Teaching nutrition showed me how much I enjoy turning complicated science into explanations people can genuinely use. That is why I created Lemon Nutrition Academy.

Having lived and studied across Iran, Cyprus, the Netherlands, and Germany, I also know that food is never only about nutrients. It is connected to culture, family, access, identity, enjoyment, and everyday life.

My aim is not to give you another set of perfect rules. It is to help you understand nutrition more clearly, so you can approach food with greater confidence and curiosity.

Evidence, explained clearly

Lemon Nutrition Academy is committed to responsible nutrition education.

Content is informed by current public-health guidance, professional recommendations, and high-quality scientific research. When evidence is uncertain, mixed, or only relevant to certain groups, that context will be explained.

You can expect:

  • Reliable sources rather than viral claims
  • Clear distinctions between evidence and opinion
  • Practical explanations without oversimplifying the science
  • Respect for different cultures, budgets, preferences, and circumstances
  • No fear-based messages, miracle promises, or moral labels for food
